Data Management and Policy Lead

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that will drive change and strong governance in data management.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering policy initiatives and projects in adaptable environments, requiring rapid analysis and integration of complex information.

Main Responsibilities
  • Data Management Strategies: Develop and implement data management strategies to secure and efficiently use data.
  • Policies and Procedures: Design and enforce policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practice and organisational needs.
  • Policy Advice: Provide expert policy advice on data security, access, and protection measures.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to inform policy development and identify practical, effective data management solutions.
  • Cyber and Data Policy Issues: Research, analyse, and review complex cyber and data policy issues, including emerging risks and evidence-based mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluation and Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the impact of policies, using data-driven insights to enhance effectiveness and governance outcomes.

  • Experience: Delivering policy initiatives and projects in adaptable environments.
  • Knowledge: Data management, governance, classification, access control, and security practices.
  • Ability: Developing and implementing data-related policies and frameworks that reduce risks and support compliance.
  • Skills: Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and build collaborative relationships.
