Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll and Finance Officer to join our Support Office in Hawthorn East. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our fortnightly payroll for over 1000 employees.

The Role

As Payroll and Finance Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Processing new starters and terminations, maintaining employee records, and interpreting awards.
  • Overseeing timesheets, reconciling payroll and superannuation payments, and lodging payroll tax, Workcover, and super contributions.
  • Assisting with Accounts Payable data entry, Accounts Receivable, and credit card and petty cash reconciliations.
  • Providing administrative support, including filing and ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years' experience in payroll processing, with a strong understanding of awards and staff entitlements.
  • Excellent data entry and spreadsheet skills, with a high attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and to deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage across the business.
