Job Summary

A great opportunity has arisen for a skilled Payroll and Finance Officer to join the Support Office of Family Doctor Pty Ltd, a growing and dynamic company in the medical industry.

The Role

The Payroll and Finance Officer will be responsible for accurately processing the fortnightly payroll for approximately 1000 employees in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist the finance team with the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process fortnightly payroll for over 1000 employees, including new starters and terminations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Interpret and apply relevant awards and staff entitlements.
  • Oversee and manage timesheets and payroll reconciliations.
  • Reconcile monthly payroll and superannuation payments.
  • Lodge payroll tax, Workcover, and super contributions.
  • Perform payroll reconciliations for month end and year end.
  • Reconcile credit card and petty cash transactions.
  • Assist with Accounts Payable data entry and Accounts Receivable.
  • Perform various administrative tasks and duties as required.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years' experience in payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of awards and staff entitlements.
  • Excellent data entry and spreadsheet skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and to deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
