Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead the coordination of our program portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our program goals through grant oversight and management, ensuring accountability for projects and programs within a defined portfolio.

This role requires collaboration with various teams on grant, program, and project implementation, including country offices, other units, and departments within CARE Australia, and other CARE members.

The ideal candidate will have experience in partnership development and maintenance, as well as the ability to engage key stakeholders and represent CARE Australia as needed in external forums.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop ideas for projects and programs, produce concept notes, proposals, and budgets, and engage with relevant external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will also ensure all programs include appropriate risk management and mitigations to ensure the safety of program participants and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver program goals through grant oversight and management
  • Collaborate with teams on grant, program, and project implementation
  • Develop partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Represent CARE Australia in external forums
  • Ensure risk management and mitigations in place
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in International Relations or similar field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in international or community development and/or humanitarian sector with focus on local partners, project operations, MEAL, and program quality
  • Strong communication skills in cross-cultural environments, including English language proficiency
  • Time management skills with ability to work remotely and collaboratively
  • An understanding of CARE's vision, mission, and values, and commitment to uphold child protection policies
