Overview

The University of South Australia is seeking an experienced team leader to join our Academic Services unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of professionals who provide administrative support to our academic units.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled individual to take on a leadership role in our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the correct and consistent interpretation and application of our academic administration policies and procedures within the unit. You will lead and support a team who are responsible for a range of general administrative activities, including customer service, data management, and policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals who provide administrative support to our academic units.
  • Ensure the correct and consistent interpretation and application of our academic administration policies and procedures within the unit.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve team performance and productivity.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Strong transformational leadership capabilities, demonstrated by experience in leading and managing a team in a complex service environment.
  • Demonstrated previous experience working in a senior administrative position in a complex service environment, including leading a team in the provision of superior quality customer service.
  • High level verbal and interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including experience in liaising with people at all levels both internal and external to an organization to provide advice and recommendations to senior staff.
  • Highly developed organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects within tight timelines while working independently and as a member of a team.

Salary

The salary for this position is $87,955 per annum, plus 17% superannuation.
