Higher Education Executive with Academic Leadership Expertise

At the University of Notre Dame Australia, we are seeking a Higher Education Executive to join our team in Sydney.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a key leadership role within our academic community. As Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, you will provide strategic leadership and support to the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, driving the delivery of high-quality academic programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
You will have a strong track record of academic leadership, curriculum development, and program assessment, as well as experience in managing significant human and material resources. Your expertise in student-related governance, educational innovation, and project management will be invaluable in this role.

Key Responsibilities- Manage and report regulatory data to TEQSA and the Department of Education, ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
- Provide strategic leadership and execution of comprehensive academic outcomes, including management of key student-facing aspects such as student-related governance.
- Collaborate with industry partners to enhance curriculum and provide students with real-world insights.
- Provide guidance and advice to the DVCA.
- Lead leaders of key functional areas within the DVCA portfolio.
- Comply with all other reasonable training and duties as identified by the line manager (or delegate).
- Postgraduate qualifications (PhD or equivalent) and extensive relevant experience.
- Proven experience in academic leadership or senior roles within higher education, and proven expertise in the management of significant human and material resources.
- Demonstrated success in curriculum development, program assessment, student-related governance, and educational innovation.
- Integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Knowledge of TEQSA is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple strategic projects in a higher education setting.
- Strong project management and time management capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative staff.
- A competitive salary package, including a base salary of $180,000 per annum, plus 14.25% superannuation.
