Job Opportunity

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering services and programs that support work health and safety across the Construction sector in NSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the activities of a team to deliver regulatory responses, services and programs.
  • Lead and manage a team to support a high performing organisational culture.
  • Identify and respond to emerging issues and risks.
  • Deal with complex matters in a highly sensitive environment.
Requirements
  • Able to promote and influence the implementation of organisational direction and programs to external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strong Stakeholder Engagement skills across all levels.
  • Able to deal with complex matters, including National and State cross agency jurisdictions and working groups and other relevant key stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
  • Able to provide strong leadership and direction to an evolving business unit culture within a dynamic and changing operating environment.
  • Able to lead a business unit through innovative use of digital technologies to secure desired strategic outcomes.
  • Able to effectively manage the functions and responsibilities of Inspectors as set out in the Work Health and Safety and Workers Compensation legislation.
Essential Requirements
  • Able to travel, work remotely and out of usual business hours.
  • Hold a NSW C class drivers' licence with a satisfactory safe driving record and a requirement to maintain the safe driving record throughout employment.
  • Satisfactory criminal record check.
  • Satisfactory medical assessment capacity regarding physical and psychological impacts of the inherent duties of the role.
