Bridge Construction Leader Opportunity

This is a pivotal role for a skilled Carpenter Team Leader to oversee the management and coordination of work crews and contractors for bridge maintenance and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise work teams to ensure efficient project completion, prioritizing safety protocols.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members, assuming responsibility for individual and team performance.
  • Perform carpentry trade activities, including the construction and maintenance of bridge structures, slope remediation works, and bridge painting.
Requirements:
  • Carpentry Licence/Trade certificate and Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
  • Current Construction Industry White Card, unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver's licence, and ability to work at heights safely.
  • Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed by regulatory bodies.

This is an ongoing full-time position located in the Newcastle area. Successful candidates should be outcome-driven, able to think critically, and have experience leading high-performing teams in bridge maintenance and civil construction environments.
