We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our kitchen team at the Windsor Castle in Maitland. This full-time role requires a creative and technically skilled individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest level of food standards, ensuring quality and compliance with health and food regulations. Key duties include preparing and cooking food, controlling temperatures, plating and garnishing dishes, and storing and preserving food safely.
Qualifications and experience include a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality, or three years of experience as a Cook in a busy kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a professional attitude, excellent presentation, and the ability to work under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food to a high standard
- Ensure quality and compliance with health and food regulations
- Control temperatures and cooking methods
- Plate and garnish dishes to a high standard
- Store and preserve food safely
Requirements:
- Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or Hospitality
- Two years of experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen
- Three years of experience as a Cook in a busy kitchen may be considered in substitution for formal qualifications
About You:
- Professional attitude and excellent presentation
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
Pay and Benefits:
$70,000 - $80,000 per annum
