Employee Relations Specialist

As a highly skilled and experienced professional, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic workforce relations initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of employment law and be able to provide expert guidance on workforce relations matters. You will be able to lead negotiations in enterprise bargaining and employment conditions, and represent the organization in relevant tribunals on employment issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Expert Advice and Consultancy Services
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to workforce relations
    • Provide expert training, coaching and support to employees and managers in relation to workforce relations issues
    • Perform advocacy services at tribunals to represent the organization's interests
  • Lead and Oversee Project Teams
    • Develop, implement, review and report on initiatives, programs, policies and targeted plans which relate to workforce relations
    • Establish networks and liaise with clients, officers from other agencies, unions and other external bodies to promote and monitor contemporary human resource management issues
  • Develop and Evaluate Policy and Administrative Procedures
    • Develop and evaluate policy and administrative procedures incorporating innovative solutions to complex employment issues
    • Prepare correspondence, including briefing materials and reports, on issues related to workforce relations

This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high quality results and supporting the organization's values and mission.
