Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at TAFE Queensland. In this exciting role, you will provide expert advice and consultancy services to senior managers and clients on workforce relations issues.

  • Expert Guidance: Offer advice on legislation, policies, systems, and practices related to workforce relations.
  • Negotiation Leadership: Represent TAFE Queensland in enterprise bargaining and employment conditions.
  • Advocacy Services: Perform advocacy services at tribunals, including the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission and Public Service Commission.
  • Representation: Participate in high-level negotiations relating to workforce relations issues.
  • Policymaking: Create and review initiatives, programs, policies, and targeted plans that relate to workforce relations.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based primarily at Mount Gravatt, with occasional work required at other campuses.

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience in delivering contemporary human resource services, particularly relating to workforce relations. You will also possess strong research, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, as well as excellent consultative and written and verbal communication skills.
