We're embarking on a mission to shape Australia's future, and we need your expertise to make it happen. As a Senior Manager Commercial Finance, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting our financial strategy and driving key initiatives across technology transformation, cost optimization, and capital investment.

About the Role

You'll provide strategic financial support to our Systems, Engineering, and Operations (SEO) function, helping us deliver informed decision-making through clear financial insights, robust business case development, and trusted commercial advice.

As a key partner to our SEO Leadership Team, you'll support operational priorities and strategic planning, leading monthly performance reporting, scenario modeling, and forecasting, and ensuring financial results are clearly communicated and aligned to targets.

You'll also manage OPEX and CAPEX risks and opportunities, supporting vendor negotiations, and facilitating the development of our annual plan.

  • Lead Financial Performance Reporting: Develop and implement monthly performance reports, scenario models, and forecasts to inform business decisions.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate OPEX and CAPEX risks and opportunities to ensure financial stability.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with the SEO Leadership Team to drive strategic planning, prioritize operations, and communicate financial results.
  • Vendor Negotiation: Support vendor negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.

About You

We're seeking a degree-qualified accountant with CA or CPA accreditation, who has strong experience in financial and project reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. You'll be confident working in complex environments, with a background in IT commercial finance or experience supporting technology functions through change.

You'll bring a proven ability to develop business cases, build financial models, and communicate insights with clarity. A strong ability to influence and build trusted stakeholder relationships will be key to your success.
