About the Role

The role of Homestay Coordinator involves providing a welcoming and supportive environment for international students.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and recruit suitable homestay providers to host international students.
  • Evaluate homestay providers' compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate student placements with approved homestay providers in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Participate in training offered by the school to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a homestay register to track homestay providers and student placement data.
  • Liaise with parents and homestay providers to advocate for international students' welfare, particularly in relation to the homestay environment.
  • Manage payments to homestay providers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for approved homestay providers to ensure consistency of care and service delivery.
  • Monitor students' ongoing welfare, adjustment, behavior, and health in homestay settings, providing appropriate intervention and escalating concerns as needed.
