About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer, Specialist to join our team. As part of our global Network Operations Center (NOC) team, you will provide Tier One NOC support, administering, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Vanguard's computer networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier One level network operational support services, including supporting large scale network installations, special projects, and performing other related duties as assigned.
  • Participate in Major Incident Management activities, identifying network performance issues and trends, such as failing network components, reviewing firewall blocks, tracing network traffic.
  • Review and interpret network diagrams, documentation, including policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Information Technology & Information Security policies and procedures.
  • Add, update, and close records in the Incident, IT Problem Management, Change Management records, ensuring status accuracy and completeness, and actions are on target.
  • Proactively review related records to identify requests that may have an impact on the network.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other related field is required, with two to four years of related hands-on experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Network experience with a financial organization is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain calm while multi-tasking and working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with Infinistream Sniffer, APCON, and other Packet Analyzer.
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with Cisco IOS, Nexus OS, Juniper Junos, Cisco ACI, F5 Load Balancing, WAN, DNS, DHCP, IPSEC, and AWS Direct Connect.
  • Intermediate experience working with Brocade Switches, Cisco platforms, Juniper routers, Cisco ASA Firewall, Palo Alto Firewall, Aruba Wi-Fi, and F5 Big IP.
  • Experience with Service Now is preferred, or similar comparable ITSM tool.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is between $85,000 and $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
