Job Title: Assistant Operations Manager

The role of Assistant Operations Manager at Claremont Quarter, Perth's premier retail destination, involves assisting the Senior Operations Manager in managing operational, environmental, and safety aspects to best industry practice.

  • Managing building services contracts, ensuring policies and procedures are in place for service management including fire services, vertical transport, electrical services, hydraulic services, mechanical services, building compliance, car park systems, BMS, cooling towers & water treatment, and communication systems.
  • Ensuring service and maintenance reports from contractors are followed up and meeting actions implemented.
  • Maintaining relationships with contractors and suppliers to achieve efficiencies, innovation, and solutions-focused outcomes.
  • Overseeing on-site cleaning and security personnel according to contract agreements.
  • Managing repair and maintenance activities effectively.
  • Ensuring all works comply with statutory authorities and regulations.
  • Attending to after-hours call-outs and problems in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Reviewing and managing centre schedules related to lighting power and HVAC.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A minimum of twelve (12) months' experience in retail facilities management.
  • Trade Certificate or equivalent 'hands-on' experience in mechanical/operational roles.
  • Maintenance experience.
  • Knowledge of building management systems and terminology related to lighting, security, and air-conditioning.
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience and ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Valid West Australian Drivers Licence and own roadworthy vehicle.

Preferring strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, motivation, commitment, and problem-solving abilities. A team player with excellent initiative and adaptability is required to succeed in this position.
