Biobank Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

This role focuses on supporting the development of biobank projects. Key responsibilities include assisting in developing and implementing quality management systems, policies, procedures, and guidelines across biobank operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Quality Management Systems: Work with teams to develop, implement, and maintain a quality management system (QMS) that ensures adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Liaise with Clinical Staff: Collaborate with surgeons, pathologists, research nurses, and data managers to ensure efficient and ethical participant consent and collection of biospecimens for research.
  • Develop Written Content: Create work plans, procedures, presentations, communications, and web content for biobank projects.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Track samples, manage inventory, and maintain data management systems in accordance with operating procedures.

Key Skills: Strong communication, project management skills, ability to work independently, and as part of a team. Experience with quality management systems and data management is required.
