The Regulatory Analyst role involves supporting the Legal and Compliance Department in Cleveland, Ohio.

About the Position

Key responsibilities include assisting attorneys with handling regulatory examinations, preparing and submitting UCAA filings, and preparing NAIC biographical affidavits.

  • Supports attorneys with regulatory matters including financial and market conduct exams, UCAA filings, and NAIC biographical affidavits.
  • Prepares and submits routine regulatory filings and corresponds with state Departments of Insurance or other regulatory agencies.
  • Assists the team with processing consumer complaints pursuant to internal policies.
  • Provides administrative support for UCAA filings and regulatory examinations, including distributing documents and tracking projects in a matter management system.
  • Assists the team with monitoring regulatory updates and ensuring timely compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and familiarity with legal requirements and guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including covering for an absent coworker and training employees.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal certification.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and other software products used in a Legal/Regulatory/Compliance department.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to interact professionally with people at all levels of the corporate structure.
  • Quick learner with a strong desire to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Good writer capable of handling different formats and styles.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to prioritize and handle numerous competing demands.
  • Able to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • J.D. from accredited law school or minimum of five years of corporate paralegal/administrative and/or insurance regulatory experience.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance issues and state insurance law.
