Renewable Energy Strategist

As an Energy Trader, you will lead the energy market function and manage trading strategies for distributed battery portfolios.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, experience in energy trading, and a solid understanding of battery technologies and energy storage systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute bidding strategies to maximise value in wholesale energy and ancillary services markets.
- Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, demand forecasts, and regulatory developments; align operational strategy with financial targets.
- Oversee trading operations for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM).
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field.
- Minimum five years' experience in energy trading, market operations, or technical support within the NEM.
- Strong understanding of battery technologies and energy storage systems.
