Lead Strategist for Australian Offshore Wind Sector

A leading global offshore wind supply chain business is seeking an experienced Lead Strategist to spearhead market entry and growth in Australia's expanding offshore wind sector.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing a localized strategy in line with Australia's energy transition goals, positioning the business for long-term success. This will involve driving business expansion in offshore wind, including monopiles, foundations, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a localized strategy in line with Australia's energy transition goals.
  • Market Development: Drive business expansion in offshore wind, including monopiles, foundations, and emerging technologies.
  • Government Relations: Build and maintain strong connections with state and federal governments, industry associations, and key stakeholders to support policy engagement and local content compliance.
  • Commercial Growth: Support HQ with research, reporting, and deal execution, while securing contracts and building a trusted customer base.
About You:

We are seeking a highly experienced individual with 15+ years of senior-level experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or related sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in offshore wind or large-scale energy projects and possess exceptional leadership and cross-cultural management skills.

The successful candidate will also have proven expertise in government relations, industry networking, and stakeholder management at both state and federal levels. A deep understanding of Australia's energy transition policies, regulatory frameworks, and offshore wind market dynamics is essential. Strong commercial acumen with experience in transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships is also required.
