Mental Health Support Specialist

Seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to provide emotional support, guidance, and coping strategies to individuals facing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-on-one mentoring sessions, providing emotional support and guidance.
  • Assist clients in identifying their mental health goals and developing action plans.
  • Promote well-being and social inclusion.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients to express themselves openly.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide resources, referrals, and tools.
  • Track and document client progress while ensuring confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards.
  • Stay informed about mental health challenges affecting various communities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a mentoring or mental health support role.
  • Strong understanding of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma, with cultural context.
  • Empathetic, patient, and able to establish strong client relationships.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health programs and therapeutic interventions is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, written, and verbal skills, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
