We are seeking a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to join our team in Wanneroo, WA.

As a specialist in perinatal mental health, you will work with expectant and new parents providing psychological support and individual, couple and parent-infant therapies.

The position involves working with clients experiencing or at risk of developing perinatal depressive, anxiety and trauma or stressor-related disorders.

You will also provide support to women and their partners who have experienced pregnancy or childbirth-related loss.

This role is an opportunity to specialise in perinatal mental health and early intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing psychological support and therapy to expectant and new parents
  • Working with clients experiencing perinatal mental health issues
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in comprehensive psychological assessment and evidence-based therapy
  • AHPRA registration with endorsements in psychology or accreditation as a mental health social worker
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience with specific experience working with perinatal clients
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a recovery-oriented model and utilise a person/family centred approach
  • High level communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
