About the Role
The Darebin City Council is seeking a seasoned Team Leader to spearhead its Planning Services department. This dynamic leader will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a team of administration officers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer services and sector-leading business solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and manage a high-performing team that embodies a culture of collaboration and service excellence.
  • Ensure seamless customer experiences across various touchpoints.
  • Contribute to and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Play a pivotal role in preparing for the transition to the council's new Enterprise Resource Planning system.
  • Oversee statutory processes and timeframes to ensure efficient delivery.

Requirements
To succeed in this leadership position, you will require:
  • A tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in business, public administration, land use planning, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in staff management, administrative practices, and customer service within a busy and dynamic environment.
  • Well-developed skills in problem-solving, investigation, and analytical thinking.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to identify and leverage technological solutions to enhance service delivery and provide training support to colleagues.
