About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Student Statutory Planner to join our dynamic team at Darebin City Council. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of planning legislation and regulations, and be able to provide professional and quality advice to customers. In this role, you will work closely with our team to support the delivery of high quality land use and development projects.

Some of the key duties of this position include:
  • Providing quality and professional planning advice to customers under supervision.
  • Preparing reports and recommendations to Council's Statutory Planning delegate on minor planning applications and amendments.
  • Assisting with the development of services, projects, and programs provided by the department.

  • Strong knowledge of planning legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
