The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Band 1 Corporate Energy and Infrastructure team, based in Sydney. In this role, you will work closely with market-leading partners, as well as the broader team of specialists across the national practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising on mergers & acquisitions, project development, joint ventures, policy & regulation, and complex commercial contracting in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
- Supporting national and international clients, including governments and regulators, infrastructure and superannuation funds, trading houses, leading energy companies, and energy project developers.
- Working on 'first-in-market' projects and with clients, both in Australia and internationally, who are at the forefront of the energy transition and private capital in the infrastructure sector.
What You Will Bring
- Demonstrable experience across M&A, project development, policy and regulation, and complex commercial contracting, ideally within the energy and infrastructure sector.
- An excellent academic record, with the ability to apply technical legal knowledge in a commercial environment.
- First-class attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to comprehend intricate legal matters and manage large-scale transactions.
- A proactive approach and a desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team.
- A keen interest in the energy and infrastructure sectors, with a hunger to learn, develop, and contribute to a market-leading practice.
