We are seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse Educator to join our team as a Permanent Full Time Teacher of Nursing at Gunnedah.

The successful candidate will have a recognised industry-related qualification and a minimum of three years relevant post-qualification experience in Acute care as a Registered Nurse, at least part of which has been gained over the last 18 months.

The role involves delivering training to over 2500 students in health courses and requires the candidate to be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment to students, developing and maintaining industry relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:

  • Recognised industry-related qualification at least one qualification level higher than Diploma (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum of three years relevant post-qualification experience in Acute care as a Registered Nurse, at least part of which has been gained over the last 18 months.
  • Certificate IV TAE40116 or equivalent.
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
  • Be a Registered Nurse and have a current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the accreditation requirements of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council.
