We are seeking an experienced Life Claims Assessor to join our team in Sydney CBD.

About the Role:

As a Life Claims Assessor, you will be responsible for managing and assessing a portfolio of Group Income Protection (IP) and Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) claims. You will work closely with doctors, rehabilitation providers, legal professionals, and advisers to initiate investigations, request medical and financial information, and make claim decisions within your authority level.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing claims for Group IP and TPD benefits
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals, rehabilitation providers, and other stakeholders
  • Investigating claims, gathering evidence, and making informed decisions
  • Maintaining accurate records and providing clear communication to claimants

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum 1 year of experience as a Life Claims Assessor in Group or Retail
  • Strong knowledge of life insurance policies and claims processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail, resilience, and empathy
  • PASSION FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING
