This agency is embarking on a comprehensive digital transformation project aimed at modernising their systems, enhancing service delivery, and improving the overall experience for their stakeholders. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Analyst to join the team and play a key role in this exciting transformation.
Role Overview
The Business Analyst will be a critical member of the project team, working closely with stakeholders across the agency to understand their needs, define business requirements, and ensure the successful delivery of digital solutions. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between business and IT, translating complex business processes into clear and actionable requirements. Additionally, their technical capabilities will be essential in supporting the testing phase of the project, ensuring that all solutions meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for IT teams.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
- Develop process maps, use cases, and user stories to communicate requirements clearly.
- Support the development of test plans, test cases, and the execution of testing activities to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Work closely with QA teams to identify, track, and resolve defects and issues.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to the project team throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
Technical Capabilities:
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with testing methodologies, including system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Proficiency in using testing tools and software (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Selenium) is highly desirable.
- Ability to analyse and troubleshoot technical issues and work with development teams to resolve them.
- Familiarity with digital transformation projects, particularly in a government or public sector environment, is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in digital transformation projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Agile (e.g., Scrum Master) is a plus.
