Overview:

Across Australia, Just Better Care provides in-home aged care and disability support services to enable individuals to live independently.

We are seeking Enrolled Nurses and Community Support Workers to join our Wide Bay team, servicing Hervey Bay, Maryborough and the surrounding areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Shift work and weekend availability
  • Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
  • Domestic services: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
  • Social support, social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
  • Supporting customers with aids and personal equipment including: standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, manual handling or electric hoists, sliding sheets or moving boards, hearing aids and other physical aids
  • Supporting participants within our Supported Independent Living Home
  • Monitoring customer well-being and reporting on their progress
  • Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services
  • Proof of Vaccination (where relevant)
  • Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Card
  • Current Working with Children Check (where required)
  • Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance preferred)
  • Smartphone with internet access
  • Certificate HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication (Desirable)
