Data Services Manager Role

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and managing the technical operations of the Bariatric Surgery Registry database, web-based interface, and related data quality processes.

This role is essential for ensuring completeness and quality of registry data. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Registry's Operations Manager and Executive Officer to achieve agreed goals within timeframes and to required standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the technical operations of the Bariatric Surgery Registry database and web-based interface.
  • Manage data quality processes to ensure completeness and quality of registry data.
  • Extract data for internal and external data access requests, data analysis, and reporting.

The Data Services Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Registry's Technical Support Officer(s).

Requirements:
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • High level of computer skills, including data analysis tools and visualisation tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Power BI.
  • Broad experience in leading, motivating, and developing a team of professionals to deliver service excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently to prioritise and delegate tasks to achieve agreed goals within timeframes and to required standards.

Developing strong relationships with stakeholders and building trust through transparent communication are also key requirements for this role.
