Database Reliability Engineer

A Database Reliability Engineer is responsible for maintaining the availability and performance of databases in a cloud environment.

This role involves working closely with the engineering team to develop and implement infrastructure services that support the organization's data management needs.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of database components, including Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
  • Develop scripts and automation tools to operate and maintain properly configured clusters.
  • Work collaboratively with the customer support team to troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues.

Candidates should have experience with configuration management, scripting in Python and bash, and large-scale datastores using technologies like Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and mySQL.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud computing platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services, GCP, and OCI.
