Our organisation is seeking an experienced Lifestyle Support Worker to join our team in Mackay. In this role, you will play a vital part in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently and reach their full potential.
The support worker will work one-on-one with clients in their homes and communities, providing tailored support to help them achieve their goals. This includes assisting clients with daily tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
About You- You must be compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine interest in supporting people with disabilities.
- Strong organisational and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Experience working in a community-based setting is highly regarded, as is knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
- A current minimum P1 C class Queensland drivers licence is required.
- You must have a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive vehicle.
- A nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certificate is necessary (or the ability to obtain).
- A Positive Notice Working with Children blue card is also required (or the ability to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is also necessary (or the ability to obtain).
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality, Safety & You is essential.
This is a casual position based in Mackay.
We offer a range of benefits including a casual hourly rate of $32.88 - $44.59+ super, up to $15,900 FBT salary packaging benefits, 50% discounted training via our RTO, access to fitness passport, flexible working arrangements, career pathways and opportunities for development, and an employee assistance program offering confidential counselling support for employees.
