About the Role

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is seeking an experienced EPMO Resource Manager and Team Leader to support the effective management of resources across the organization.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that resources are well-managed, monitored, and supported to achieve the Commission's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resource Allocation: Assign available employees to projects in accordance with their skillsets and project requirements.
  • Resource Monitoring: Monitor day-to-day project activities and corresponding resourcing.
  • Capacity Planning: Ensure that resources have capacity to work on upcoming projects.
  • Resource Utilization: Monitor and manage resources workload, utilization, and overtime hours.
  • Conflict Resolution: Manage resource conflicts.
  • Resource Optimization: Overcome resource shortages by reallocating resources or assigning more staff.
  • Project Understanding: Understand all current and upcoming projects within the Commission and plan resourcing accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Commission's People and Culture team regarding staff training, compensation, and benefit planning, payroll administration, and hiring of new staff.
  • Documentation: Document processes, e.g., weekly utilization reports.
  • Reporting: Report Resource Status to the EPMO Leadership Team, raising risks and keeping the team informed of current resource status.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business management, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience managing programs and projects, including effective change management.
  • Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, critical thinking, analytical, and forecasting skills, conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills, flexibility, and good decision-making skills.
  • Tools: Experience using PPM Tools, Power BI, and Agile approaches to Project Management.
  • Understanding: Understanding of the Commission's internal and external operating context.
What We Offer
  • Salary: Salary offered will be between $114,300 and $143,300 per annum depending on skills and experience.
  • Superannuation: 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
  • Citizenship: Only candidates who hold Australian citizenship can apply.
  • Appointment: Appointment is conditional on successfully completing a national police check.
