About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Culture Developer to join our team at UGL. This is an exciting opportunity to shape, develop, and cultivate a new era in safety culture, guided by our unique One HSE Culture Framework.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the safety culture of our Lineworkers and electrical trades, with a focus on the Distribution sector. This hands-on, in-field role enables you to directly engage with Lineworkers and electrical trades, offering leadership in HSE practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and cultivate a safety culture aligned with UGL's One HSE Culture Framework
  • Lead and mentor Operational Teams, focusing on best practices for risk mitigation
  • Develop and monitor HSE KPIs, in consultation with Operational Leaders
  • Implement tailored safety programmes and initiatives to meet the needs of the VESI
  • Investigate and report on worksite incidents according to UGL procedures
  • Develop and facilitate customised training programs for Lineworkers

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • A Diploma in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a high-risk industry, with Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially in Excel
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment is a plus

Our salary for this role is estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on industry standards and qualifications.
