Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) Lead to oversee Victorian and Tasmanian operations and corporate. This role involves managing workplace injuries, transforming the health and safety culture, and maintaining quality management systems.
This position requires onsite presence, intrastate, and interstate travel. Reporting into the Executive General Manager of Victorian and Tasmanian Operations, you will be responsible for providing specialist advice on health, safety, wellbeing, and quality assurance compliance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to manage workplace injuries and return-to-work initiatives.
- Transform and contemporise the business's health and safety culture by identifying and addressing gaps and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and improve the effectiveness of the Victorian and Tasmanian quality and safety management systems.
- Provide expert guidance on health, safety, wellbeing, and quality assurance legislation, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Facilitate audits and ensure the implementation of health, safety, wellbeing, and quality assurance systems and activities align with legislative requirements and business objectives.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Experience in transforming and contemporising a health and safety culture.
- Demonstrable experience in managing health and safety management systems.
- Verified skills in managing workers' compensation claims, injury claims, and return-to-work processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent organisational and self-motivation skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A current driver's licence and full Australian working rights.
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of health, safety, wellbeing, and quality assurance.
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience
