Project Engineering Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team in Newcastle, New South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of challenging civil projects from smaller to $10m+, and other projects valued at up to $40m+.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on tenders, planning and scheduling construction activities, managing site project teams safely, and coordinating internal and external resources. They will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working on tenders and developing project plans
  • Managing site project teams and ensuring safe working practices
  • Coordinating internal and external resources
  • Preparation of management reports and cost control
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • 5 – 15+ years' experience in project management on civil construction projects with a value of $2m to $40m+
  • Project management qualifications advantageous
  • Proven understanding of construction practices and procedures
  • Effective problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to lead and delegate tasks effectively
  • High level of organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
