Orthopaedic Registrar Opportunity

Full-time position – fixed term 12 months

We have an opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Orthopaedic Registrar to join our team at Norwest Private Hospital.

As an Orthopaedic Registrar, you will be responsible for managing patients on the ward and assisting at orthopaedic operations. You will gain exposure to various subspecialties and participate in clinical teaching opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have full AHPRA registration, a minimum of 12 months experience in specialty, and recent experience working in Australia.

  • Provision of surgical assistant skills in the operating theatre to support the Accredited Visiting Medical Officer (VMO)
  • Review patients in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit as required by and under the supervision of the Accredited VMO during business hours
  • Review inpatients pre and post operatively at the request of the Accredited VMO during business hours
  • Participate in Orthopaedic Department meetings
  • Participate in clinical teaching opportunities
