Concrete and Aggregate Testing Specialist

The role of a Concrete and Aggregates Laboratory Supervisor is to oversee the work of laboratory technicians, ensure the lab operates safely and efficiently, and comply with all testing requirements.
This position requires strong leadership skills to promote safety and sustainability expectations among the team and ensure the laboratory complies with NATA requirements.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in construction materials testing, specifically concrete and aggregates.
Responsibilities include overseeing the work of laboratory technicians, ensuring the lab operates safely and efficiently, managing laboratory equipment calibration programs, promoting safety and sustainability expectations, ensuring compliance with NATA requirements, and conducting site visits to ensure quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the work of laboratory technicians at the laboratory.
- Ensure the laboratory operates safely and efficiently and complies with all testing requirements.
- Manage the laboratory equipment calibration program and maintain appropriate records.
- Promote safety and sustainability expectations among the team through visible leadership.
- Ensure the laboratory complies with NATA requirements.
- Conduct site visits to ensure quality assurance for internal and external clients.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction materials testing, specifically concrete and aggregates.
- Certificate III in Lab Operations or prior NATA signatory status from an approved NATA laboratory.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex data as usable management information.
- Good people management experience.
- Collaborative and innovative mindset.
- Well-organized and a self-starter.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting confidently between operations, sales, and marketing teams.
