Senior Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced laboratory specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Melbourne laboratory, ensuring that all testing requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in soils, aggregate, and concrete testing, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing laboratory equipment and ensuring it is properly calibrated and maintained
  • Coordinating sampling and testing activities, and overseeing the preparation and submission of test reports
  • Mentoring and coaching staff to develop their testing skills and knowledge
  • Ensuring data integrity and validation, and adhering to quality systems and procedures
  • Developing and implementing quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards

To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:

  • A Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or higher
  • Experience in soils, aggregate, and concrete testing
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Australian Driver's license and Nuclear gauge license eligibility
