Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Supervisor to lead our laboratory operations. As a key member of our team, you will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise lab technicians and quality control staff, and ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversight of concrete and quarry materials laboratory operations.
  • Supervision and mentoring of lab technicians and quality control personnel.
  • Ensuring adherence to AS 1012, AS 1141, and internal QA/QC protocols.
  • Coordination of sampling, testing, and reporting for aggregates, concrete, and other raw materials.
  • Investigation of non-conforming products and provision of technical support to operational teams.
  • Maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment for accurate test results.
  • Analysis and reporting of test outcomes, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
  • Liaison with operations, technical, and sales teams to support product development and customer requirements.
About the Role
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a laboratory environment within the concrete or quarrying industry.
  • Strong understanding of aggregate and concrete testing procedures and standards.
  • Prior experience supervising or leading a small technical or laboratory team.
  • High attention to detail and methodical approach to testing and documentation.
  • Competence in using laboratory systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
