After School Care Educator

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic educator to join our team at an After School Care service in Mosman and Clifton Gardens.

The Role:

As an educator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for children aged 5-12 years old. You will be responsible for implementing and providing a diverse and stimulating program that caters to the developmental needs of the children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring all children are actively supervised at all times;
  • Assisting in the implementation and provision of a diverse and stimulating program;
  • Ensuring safe food handling and hygiene practices are upheld at all times;
  • Developing and fostering positive relationships with parents, caregivers, children, and other stakeholders;
  • Assisting in establishing daily routines and creating appropriate rules and boundaries for children to encourage positive behaviour;
  • Encouraging and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness of program premises and facilities.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar position;
  • A valid Working with Children Check;
  • Qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) or relevant qualifications; and
  • A Child Protection Certificate and First Aid in Childcare.

About Us:

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services is a not-for-profit organisation catering to children and families from our Catholic schools and the local community. We operate Outside School Hours Care and Early Childhood Services at multiple locations within the Sydney Archdiocese.

Please note:

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed before commencement. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. All applicants must have current and valid working rights in Australia.
