Job Description:

The role of Children's Services Coordinator is a pivotal one in the delivery of quality out-of-school-hours care to children at St Peter's Public School. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of engaging programs that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth in children.

You will oversee the daily operations of the OSHC service, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of care. Your expertise in creating and implementing activities will foster a sense of belonging and community among the children, while your ability to mentor and develop a team of educators will contribute to their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of children,
  • Supervise and support a team of educators to deliver high-quality care and education, 
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies, 
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders to achieve program goals and objectives, 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in out-of-school-hours care.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and inspire your team and children, 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, 
  • A deep understanding of child development principles and practices, 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders, 
  • Valid Working with Children Check and First Aid in a Childcare Setting certification.
