Our team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead the culinary team in delivering exceptional quality and service to residents.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing buffet-style bulk cooking for various meals, ensuring all catering controls are in place, and minimizing wastage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement safe work practices and food handling procedures to ensure resident safety and satisfaction.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, minimize waste, and optimize kitchen operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to enhance workplace culture by promoting high levels of customer service, teamwork, and open communication.
Requirements:
- Hold a relevant qualification, such as a Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Have extensive experience in bulk catering or buffet environments.
- Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
- Be knowledgeable about all kitchen procedures and operations, including food safety and compliance management.
- Be familiar with inventory management systems and have the ability to analyze data to inform menu planning and resource allocation decisions.
