Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Geochemist to provide specialised consulting services locally and internationally.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management principles, be able to effectively engage and manage client relationships, and have a proven track record in geochemical characterisation of mine wastes, mineral waste management and water quality assessments.

Responsibilities include providing technical advice, recommendations and project work, as well as sharing knowledge through leadership and mentoring skills to grow the careers of more junior team members.

Requirements
  • A tertiary qualification in Geology, Geochemistry, Environmental Science or an engineering discipline with relevant experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in geochemical characterisation of mine wastes, mineral waste management and water quality assessments.
  • Previous consulting experience, field work experience, and laboratory investigations.
  • Experience managing static and kinetic geochemical laboratory programs, and processing and interpreting laboratory data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
