We are a trusted partner to the Australian Defence Force, delivering complex technology and engineering projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our expert team as an Aviation Systems Specialist.

As a key member of our flight crew, you will operate our Special Mission Aircraft, providing advanced airborne Electronic Warfare training, test and certification to Air, Land, Maritime and industry task units.

You will work closely with experienced teams on the nation's most complex technical programs and help underpin the success of mission critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate our Learjet 35A aircraft as part of the flight crew
  • Maintain a safe and effective working environment in collaboration with the Head of Operations
  • Act as Deployment Commander on a rotation basis with other aircrew
  • Contribute to tactical operating procedures and standards for EW flight operations
  • Deploy in support of domestic and international exercises as required

Requirements

  • CASA Part 61 Commercial Pilot License (Aeroplane), valid CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate, and eligibility to obtain a current Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
  • CASA Multi Crew Cooperation (MCC) training, Low Level Rating (Aeroplane), Formation Flying Flight Activity Endorsement (Aeroplane), and Instrument Rating (Multi Engine Aircraft (MEA) with Instrument Approach Procedure (IAP) 2D and IAP 3D)
  • Minimum of 500 hours Pilot In Command (PIC)
  • 6 years minimum flying experience as a pilot in military aviation operations
  • Military pilot fast jet experience or civilian equivalent supporting Defence Operations is highly desirable
  • Other CASA qualifications such as Flight Instructor, Flight Examiner or previous check and/or training experience would also be desirable
  • Eligibility for or current AGSVA Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance and ability to acquire a Negative Vetting 2 Security Clearance
