About the Role
Linfox's Intermodal business unit is seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join our team in West Melbourne. As an AM Transport Allocator, you will be responsible for allocating, route planning, and dispatching deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders to provide clear instructions and build positive relationships
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to manifests, delivery schedules, and compliance
- Monitor service schedules for fleet and complete accurate handovers for the PM shift team each day
- Complete yard checks and meet Safety KPIs
Requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, drivers, and customers
- Strong geographical knowledge of the Melbourne metro area is highly regarded
- Highly organized with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Highly proficient computer skills and the ability to pick things up quickly
