Occupational Therapy Educator

The Occupational Therapy Educator Mental Health & Wellbeing is a key position within our Mental Health & Wellbeing Program at St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne (SVHM). This role has been established as part of a grant from the Victorian Department of Health to support the implementation of the Statewide Early Careers Initiative.
As an Occupational Therapy Educator, you will be responsible for the support, professional supervision, and management of Occupational Therapy graduates and novice learners in the Mental Health & Wellbeing and Addiction Medicine Program. You will also contribute to the delivery of education and support across the organisation within a multidisciplinary and interprofessional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong and effective leadership in the area of Allied Health Clinical Education
- Implement and maintain the Allied Health Mental Health Graduate Program in line with the Department of Health Model requirements and recommendations
- Work collaboratively with the Occupational Therapy Discipline lead to further develop Allied Health/Occupational Therapy Clinical Education
- Promote a culture of reflection, continuous learning, and workforce development
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or Master of Occupational Therapy (Prac)
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of ten (10) years post-graduate experience and a strong interest in mental health and wellbeing
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
