Occupational Therapy Educator

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Educator to join our team at St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our occupational therapists and Swinburne University to deliver high-quality education and support for our occupational therapy students.
The Occupational Therapy Educator is responsible for coordinating, supporting, supervising, and managing occupational therapy students within our clinical environment. This includes ensuring student placements meet targets, providing diverse and comprehensive learning opportunities, and coordinating teaching by our occupational therapists into the Swinburne's Masters of Occupational Therapy program.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of occupational therapy clinical education programs
- Provide guidance and support to occupational therapy students on clinical placements
- Collaborate with occupational therapy leadership at SVHM and Swinburne University to further develop occupational therapy clinical education
- Coordinate teaching delivered by occupational therapists into Swinburne's Masters of Occupational Therapy program
- Promote a culture of reflection, continuous learning, and workforce development
Requirements
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or Master of Occupational Therapy (Prac)
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of ten (10) years post-graduate experience and a strong interest in mental health and wellbeing
- Current National criminal history check, or willingness to obtain
