Occupational Therapy Educator

The Occupational Therapy Educator (Student Coordinator) position has been established in collaboration with Swinburne University to strengthen opportunities for learning, teaching, research, and growth of student occupational therapists within clinical practice.
This role aims to ensure student placements are delivered to meet targets while providing diverse and comprehensive learning opportunities for students. The Occupational Therapy Educator (Student Coordinator) will coordinate teaching by our occupational therapists into the Swinburne's Masters of Occupational Therapy program, ensuring education delivered is up-to-date, clinically relevant, professional, and meets the expectations of our university partners.
The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of education and support more broadly across the organisation within a multidisciplinary and inter-professional environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong and effective leadership in the area of Allied Health Clinical Education.
- Coordinate Occupational Therapy student placements within Mental Health.
- Coordinate teaching delivered by our Occupational Therapists into Swinburne's Masters of Occupational Therapy program.
- Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapy leadership at SVHM and Swinburne University to further develop Occupational Therapy Clinical Education.
- Promote a culture of reflection, continuous learning, and workforce development.
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or Master of Occupational Therapy (Prac)
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of ten (10) years post-graduate experience and a strong interest in mental health and wellbeing
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
