Occupational Therapy Educator Role

The Department of Occupational Therapy at Monash University invites applications for Practice Educators who will support the learning and development of undergraduate and masters entry level occupational therapy students. As a Practice Educator, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the education and training of the next generation of occupational therapists.
Practice Educators in this role will work with students in a variety of fieldwork settings, including aged care facilities, kindergartens, physical and vocational rehabilitation, and community mental health programs. You will be responsible for facilitating the learning and development of students in these settings, working collaboratively with the Monash University team to ensure high-quality education and training.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a registered occupational therapist with a minimum of two years of professional practice experience since graduation. Prior experience of providing occupational therapy placement-based education is desirable, but not essential. You will also need to have a Working with Children Check and, depending on the nature of the placement sites, a National Disability Insurance Scheme Worker Screening Check may also be required.
