We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our Home and Community Care team as a dedicated support worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and everyday support to clients, empowering them to live safely and independently in their own homes.

About the Role

The role involves assisting with daily living activities such as showering, dressing, grooming, and continence support in a way that maintains dignity and comfort. You will also assist with medication, ensuring clients receive the correct medication, and provide social support and companionship by driving clients to shops, appointments, or community activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities
  • Assist with medication management and ensure clients receive the correct medication
  • Support clients with daily tasks, such as light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and keeping living spaces safe and welcoming
  • Drive clients to appointments, shops, and community activities
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and their families through regular communication and updates
Requirements
  • Previous experience in aged care or community care is highly desirable
  • Certificate III in Aged Care (or equivalent) is preferred
  • A current Australian driver's license and reliable car are essential
  • A genuine passion for supporting older people to live independently is required
